Rifle Training Comes In Handy For EveryoneRifle training is another subject that many Americans don't find themselves thinking about very often. While many Americans can easily confront the idea of handgun training or defensive handgun training, something like rifle training or shotgun training seems unnecessary and over-the-top. But Dr. Ignatius Piazza, the founder and director of America's largest gun training institute, Front Sight Firearms Training Institute, knows completely differently. Dr. Ignatius Piazza is a Four Weapons Combat Master (TM), easily one of the most difficult firearms training certifications to receive. A Four Weapons Combat Master is thoroughly trained and brought beyond expert-level in handgun training, shotgun training, rifle training and special pistol or submachine gun training. Dr. Ignatius Piazza was, at the time of his certification, the second man to ever successfully pass the Four Weapons Combat Master test, twelve full years after the test had been published. Today, several years later, there are only five Four Weapons Combat Masters. So Dr. Ignatius Piazza is certainly one to speak about what firearms training means. Having someone with an obvious mastery of weapons inform you that the only way to truly reach proficiency is to train through all forms of firearms training is enough to get anyone interested in any form of firearms training interested in all forms of firearms training. Rifle training isn't just for hunting, just as shotgun training isn't solely for SWAT members and handgun training for cops. Citizens are supposed to get gun training, Americans are meant to bear weapons and to know how to use them. If we ever need a militia, as we did in the revolutionary war, would America be ready? If we ever needed an army of irregulars who knew how to use their gun because of an insurgent, invasive attack force spreading through our urban areas, who would stop them? Who would have the firearms training necessary to hold them off? Rifle training is a vital part of American life, just as handgun training, shotgun training and even submachine gun training are. |
